밤이 되면 더 활기를 띠는 칠성시장 포차거리는 다양한 포장마차들이 줄지어 있어서 보는 것만으로도 눈이 즐거웠어요. 특히 해산물과 장어 등 신선한 먹거리를 저렴하게 즐길 수 있는 매력적인 곳이었죠. 처음 느낀 분위기는 마치 대구의 또 다른 명소인 안지랑 곱창골목과 비슷하게 활기차고 북적였습니다.
저희가 방문한 곳은 ‘금강산도 식후경’이 아니라 ‘가족끼리 오붓하게 즐길 수 있는 맛집’으로 알려진 ‘가족 족발’ 옆의 ‘금성장어’라는 포차였습니다. 현지 분들이 특히 추천해주는 유명한 맛집이었어요.
주문한 메뉴는 모둠해산물이었는데, 멍게, 산낙지, 석화, 광어회 등 다양한 해산물이 정말 신선하고 맛있었답니다. 특히 쫄깃쫄깃한 멍게와 달콤한 광어회는 절대 잊지 못할 맛이었어요! 사이드로 나온 쌈 채소, 삶은 감자, 알싸한 떡볶이, 그리고 고소한 삶은 감자까지 다양하게 곁들일 수 있어서 더욱 만족스러웠습니다.
추운 겨울밤, 포차거리 안쪽의 따뜻한 자리에서 맛있는 음식과 함께 즐거운 대화를 나누니 시간 가는 줄 몰랐어요. 왁자지껄하면서도 정겨운 분위기 덕분에 칠성시장 포차거리는 정말 특별한 추억을 만들기 딱 좋은 장소였습니다.

Today, I’d like to share my delightful experience visiting the Chilseong Market Pocha Street in Daegu for the very first time!
Although I’ve lived in Daegu for about seven years now, surprisingly, I had never visited the famous Chilseong Market until recently. I finally got the chance to explore this lively market area with some wonderful friends, and it turned out to be a memorable evening.
The Chilseong Market Pocha Street comes alive especially at night, bustling with food stalls offering fresh seafood, eel, and various delicacies at affordable prices. The vibrant atmosphere reminded me of Anjirang Gopchang Street, another popular spot in Daegu known for its lively energy.
We decided to visit one of the highly recommended spots known for its freshness and great taste. We ordered the assorted seafood platter, including sea squirt, live octopus, oysters, and fresh flounder sashimi. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasty!
The seafood platter was accompanied by delightful side dishes such as seasoned vegetables, boiled potatoes, and spicy rice cakes, perfectly complementing the main dishes. Sitting comfortably indoors despite the chilly winter night, we enjoyed the cozy warmth and animated conversations.
The friendly and vibrant environment made the evening feel special, and I can genuinely say that Chilseong Market is now one of my favorite places in Daegu. It’s an ideal spot to bring friends visiting from out of town or just enjoy a lovely meal with local friends.
