In this post, I’d like to share a detailed account of my day exploring the vibrant streets of Kuta in Bali and the surrounding hotel facilities. Thanks to a personal guide, I was able to comfortably explore the local streets, shop at various stores, and even visit global brands like Starbucks. Today, I will focus on the diverse scenery and experiences I encountered while strolling through Kuta, as well as provide additional information about the hotels and nearby amenities in the area.
The Charm of Kuta Streets
Kuta is one of the most bustling areas in Bali, where various cultures and lifestyles merge. On the recommendation of my guide, I ventured into the local streets—an experience that is quite different from what you might expect, as there were hardly any Koreans, but rather a mix of Japanese, Chinese, and other foreign visitors. Although warnings about pickpockets were common, I found the area to be much safer than I had feared; I simply kept my bag in hand and felt reassured.
Throughout the streets, I encountered numerous shops including clothing stores, accessory shops, and eateries, along with motorbikes and casual bars. Although my original plan was to enjoy a drink at a local pub, my pregnancy and my husband’s abstinence from alcohol meant that we focused more on sightseeing and leisurely strolling. When I felt the need for a break, I headed into a nearby Starbucks to enjoy a decaf coffee and iced Americano. The Starbucks in Kuta is conveniently located in a hotel shopping arcade, and its entrance even requires passing through a security check with a metal detector—an intriguing detail that adds to the uniqueness of the Bali experience.

There are also fast food outlets such as McDonald’s and Burger King, offering a wide range of dining options.
Kuta remains lively well into the evening, with many people enjoying various activities and socializing. The bustling atmosphere, combined with the distinct aromas of local spices and the relaxed vibe of the streets and hotel surroundings, truly encapsulates the essence of an overseas vacation.
Our Experience and Impressions
During my visit, I followed my guide to a seafood restaurant in Jimbaran, where we enjoyed the famous sunset seafood dining experience. Although this post focuses on Kuta, our day in Bali also included memorable moments from Jimbaran. In Kuta, I took countless photos of the vibrant streets—even though some were a bit shaky—and observed how locals and tourists mingled in a carefree manner. We strolled around, visited shops, and even took a break at Starbucks to recharge. My husband and I enjoyed our conversations, and despite some playful frustrations with photography, the day was filled with delightful moments.
